About Ridgeway Occupational Consultants Inc.

Now in its 25th year of operation, Ridgeway Occupational Consultants Inc. (“Ridgeway”) is an occupational medicine consulting firm and service provider owned and operated by Dr. Allan Rosenfeld. With our team of experienced healthcare professionals, Ridgeway provides occupational medical services to a number of organizations including private corporations, municipalities, and universities.

Dr. Allan Rosenfeld, MD

Dr. Rosenfeld graduated from the University of Toronto’s medical school in 1984 and completed a residency in Family Medicine at McMaster University in 1986. He opened his family practice in West Mississauga shortly thereafter and practiced family medicine for more than 35 years.

In 1993, Dr. Rosenfeld obtained his Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS) from McMaster University and began practicing as an Occupational Health Physician. As he practiced, Dr. Rosenfeld continued to achieve recognition and credentials in the field of Occupational Medicine. In 2007, he was designated as a Fellow of the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine. In 2015, Dr. Rosenfeld became a designated physician for Health Canada’s Public Service Occupational Health Program in 2015, a Civil Aviation Medical Examiner (CAME) in 2018, and a Marine Medical Examiner (MME) in 2023. Dr. Rosenfeld maintains active memberships in the Occupational and Environmental Medical Association of Canada (OEMAC), the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine (CBOM), and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM).

In Dr. Rosenfeld’s three decades worth of experience as an Occupational Health Physician, Dr. Rosenfeld has provided testimony at WSIB arbitrations, has handled many union grievances, and has been an integral component to an organization’s Human Rights complaint process, which resolved. As part of the College of Physicians and Surgeons’ investigation into this Human Rights complaint, Dr. Rosenfeld was deemed to be an expert in disability management.  

Denise Burke, RPN

Denise has been working with Ridgeway as our clinic manager and an Occupational Health Nurse since 2016. Denise received her diploma in practical nursing from Conestoga College in 2015, graduating with distinction as a Dean’s list recipient. Denise has extensive experience and education in medical test administration and phlebotomy/specimen collection.

Teresa McNeil

Teresa has been working with Ridgeway for the last year, helping keep our clinic organized and efficient. Teresa has certifications as a pharmacy assistant from the Koffler Academy and as a medical secretary from The Toronto School of Business. Before coming to Ridgeway, Teresa was a pharmacy assistant at Shoppers Drug Mart for more than 20 years. 

Hannah Noormahamud, RN, COHN (C)

Hannah has been working with Ridgeway as an Occupational Health Nurse since the Spring of 2023. In her capacity, Hannah works both at our clinic and on-site at clients’ workplaces. Hannah completed her BScN at UNB/Humber College and then became certified as an Occupational Health Nurse by the CNA. Hannah’s nursing experience includes roles in occupational health nursing and in public health. 

Naomi Rosenfeld

Naomi has been working with Ridgeway as our Business Manager since December 2022. Prior to working for Ridgeway, Naomi worked for 10 years in nonprofit management, most recently leading a not-for-profit organization based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Naomi received her MBA and MA from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
